The troublesome duo.

The troublesome duo.
I will make a confession. I do not read scanlations. Why is hard to explain, somewhere between I dislike the strain it puts on my eyes as I’m severely nearsighted—I can hold a book closer to my face then my laptop, and the guilt I get from downloading anime and music, at least if I support one industry, my guilt is somewhat resolved.
However, just because I wait for stuff to be released over here then read it does not mean there aren’t unknown titles out there. Just that I’m not up to date with them as I would be if I read scanlations. So without further to do, I present my current obsession with volume 1 on sale here in America.
GA: Geijutsuka Art Design Class. You remember the anime that no one watched? Well, it has a very well done 4koma comic.

UPDATE — After a downtime of 3.5 hours, we are back. Voting has been extended for 4 hours until 1900GMT. Results will still be released at the usual time.
Apologies to all voters who are experiencing delays on the International Saimoe League (http://www.internationalsaimoe.com) website.
Since it’s the championship match between Hinagiku and Shana, I suppose we’ve had a lot heavier levels of traffic than our usual limit-breaking waves during the regular season and earlier rounds of the postseason.
Our host has temporarily suspended us, but I’ve called them in hopes to resolve things … and set up an upgrade plan for ISML 2010.
Please try again later today if you can’t vote this morning.

So this month for National Novel Writing Month, I will not be doing what everyone else is doing and writing a novel. I will instead be doing NaNoBloMo, where one attempts to write one blog post a day for all of November. While not as impressive as 50,000 words in one month, it should still be a task. Tomorrow I’ll be doing Manga Monday, and we’ll see where it goes from there. My only exception will be this Tuesday, where I will be assisting with elections.
For the heck of it though, I think I’ll do a word count at the end of the month.
Also, CJ is actually doing NaNoWriMo. Cheer her on! Best of luck CJ!
