I am a spoilerphobe

I would like to take a few minutes to reveal a few things about myself. One, I am a huge spoilerphobe and try really hard to prevent from being spoiled. Two, I have seen very little anime dated from the past 5 years or played any visual novels beyond Katawa Shoujo. Three, I’m a little tired of people posting spoilers for me in the comments when I’ve tried pretty hard to avoid them.

So please do not post spoilers in your comments. Do not tell me about Maria in Umineko. Do not spoil Fate/Stay Night for me, especially if it’s to prove your point that I should know better and not be surprised by the ending in CANAAN, even though it was my first Type Moon show. Even if it’s been out for awhile, I might still be planning to watch it.

Which leads into my next point. I have had different life experiences and different anime viewing experiences then all of you. I also have different views on things, different hobbies, different interests. Please don’t tell me how ‘How can I not realize this?, or ‘Don’t I know better?’ and proceed to point out I’m obviously stupid. I do make mistakes, I am human, and I have nothing wrong with them being pointed out, but it makes a big difference if you do so in a mature matter or just make yourself sound like a condescending fanbrats. There is enough elitism in fandom. Don’t try to add to it

Alright, I wanted to do an awards for the summer season, based on the awards that The Null Set always does. But I’m one of those people who wants to give everyone an award, and I thought this be a good way to introduce all the canidates for the catogories. I think this scene made my day.

I really have nothing else to say, so let’s take a look at Mihoshi’s speed building skills when it comes to snowman…

Seriously, she built that in at max, five minutes. No wonder they had impressive snow sculptures by the end of the day.

Oh, and kids, never leave a camp without telling someone. Ever.

Tokyo Magnitude 8.0-Finally, final impressions

I had to think about what I wanted to say for my final impression for quite a bit. Nothing seemed to click, and a lot of rough drafts got thrown out simply because something didn’t fit. Something about the show bugged me but I couldn’t put my finger on it. Then Steelbound of The Null Set posted about his thoughts on Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 that emulated my feelings perfectly(http://thenullset.wordpress.com/2009/09/24/thoughts-on-tokyo-magnitude-8-0/#more-4963). To me inparticular though, it didn’t feel real, but rather contrived instead. The characters were also fairly boring.

Such a fulfilling episode, emotional and then funny.

Baseball Playing Girls episode 9

            This episode was fairly interesting, and showed a little more depth then the past couple filler like episodes.

Hm.. I wonder where he put down the swimsuit and bloomers so he could scratch his cheek like that.

Stuffed in pocket temporarily? Transferred to other hand? Because it was made rather clear he gripped the two fabrics quite tightly… both right before this scene occurred and at the end of the episode when Tsubasa said so.
