I just finished episode 6 of CANAAN, leaving me finally caught up with the entire series. The story is a little far fetched, but I’m enjoying how it’s coming together. It’s kinda like a much darker version of NEEDLESS.
Although the sleeping with a bloodstained animal is weird...
I had to stare at this several times before realizing that it is actually drawn correctly.
A first glance suggest it’s Nodoka’s arm on top … but it really isn’t. The right hand sticking out of the sleeve plus the darker skin tone makes it Saki’s arm.
I blame Nodoka’s hair, which drapes over both girls’ shoulders and is the real cause of this potential illusion.

What an adorable episode!

It’s like watching an impeding train wreck. Each episode the relationship between Sugimoto and Fumi seems more strained, and they seem closer to breaking up. In this episode, Fumi realized that Sugimoto still has feelings for the teacher.

I was introduced to this show when I picked up these dvds at gamestop on a whim in freshmen year.
These episodes did not include enough Alice. They also illustrated that good transition from one plot to the next makes for a good story that doesn’t leave the viewed going ‘Huh?’. This was accomplished by having one of the worst transitions I’ve ever seen in an anime from point a to point b. At least they didn’t waste too much time on it.
But the kitties were really cute!
The uniforms are so cute! I absolutely love them. I also have this cosplay feeling brewing…but I don’t know how I’d pull off their hats. Suggestions anyone?
Kohou is so cute! It was also pretty cool seeing her transformation from being unhappy to being happy in this episode. We now have a team of nine girls, and they’re seriously training, so it’ll be interesting to see how the story develops from here.

A common question often asked of Haruhi, ‘Why is Haruhi so popular?’ After all, the show focuses around this bossy self-centered girl who pretty much gets whatever she wants, even at the cost of other people. That’s not what we’d call a very nice person. So why is it so damn entertaining?
