NEEDLESS episode 1

This show hasn’t been getting the greatest reviews. It’s infamous ending theme hasn’t been helping it’s cause any. However a friend of mine encouraged me to give it a try, and to be honest, it was awesome. First off, the ending theme is in no way a sign of what you should expect in the show. The characters in the ending theme haven’t even appeared in the show!

This is more what the episode was like.

This is more what the episode was like.

If you are a person who likes really cool super powers, or hot blooded fights, this show is for you. That’s what this show is about, and delivers on that in the first episode. For the most part, the characters aren’t special but they’re wacky enough to be likable. Although I do admit I found Eve very annoying, but she wasn’t in the show enough to really bother me.

I haven’t watched a shonen show in a long time, so I think I’ll be watching this one.

Thank you for reviewing this show. I’m one of those people who like Naruto and Bleach (resisted the urge to start watching One Piece) and this series art style and just sheer visual pleasure looks like something I can easily get into.

I really enjoy this first episode, wish there were more out already XD

Hope this show survive the lack of great reviews so I can buy it in the foreseeable future. Hope you review or recommend more like this.

    Thank you again ^_^

I’m a guy who decidedly doesn’t care for Bleach, Naruto, etc.

I still thought the first episode rocked pretty hard. The soundtrack definitely helps.

Tengen Toppa Gurenn Lagann with superficial fabulous text. At least the priest and doppleganger are interesting characters. And the ED looks great.

    Priest – Kamina
    Doppleganger – Yoko
    Green-haired brat – Simoun

That’s what I’ve heard, but I don’t see the connection. The priest and doppleganger act nothing like Kamina and Yoko. I can see the connection between the green haired guy and Simon, but Simon at the start of TTGL was a kinda shallow character.

^-^ The characters in the ending theme aren’t in the show. :] It’s a prank by the uploader. Even the video quality is different.
