While I knew what I was getting into and all, it still was a little gayer then I expected…

Akira offers some sound advice.
Visually, the first episode is pretty well done. The characters themselves are kinda plain, but the backgrounds are really pretty with a watercolor look.

It takes a little bit of getting use to watching the characters move across these backgrounds.
So far, the show has presented us with two main characters who are nothing like their looks would suggest. Fumi is a tall, gorgeous girl that I’m guessing is going to be quite popular with her class, but she’s shy, quiet, and gets upset really easy. Part of me is wondering if she has an anxiety disorder judging by just how upset she gest. On the other end of the spectrum, we have Akira, short and childish looking, who’s tough as nails and has a lot of spunk. Unfortunately, she seems to be an outcast among her class.
Fumi also is obviously gay, although whether she’s struggling with her sexuality or comfortable with it isn’t protrayed that well. I would guess she’s still uncomfortable with considering her awkwardness around her cousin, and the thoughts that followed.
My main worry regarding this anime is that it’s going to move too slow and be too sappy to be able to hold my interest. It seems rather slow paced, but the first episode was just introduction, so I have my fingers crossed the pace will pick up.

The ending theme has really cute animation.
Isnt her name Fumi? You call her fuma throughout the entire thing
Thanks for catching that, my mistake.
