Why is Xebec’s artwork so bad in this series? x.x I may have said one time before that this is an ecchi series with a budget, but that has referred mostly to the mainstream attention the series is getting, the use of CG here and there, and perhaps the ability to expand on a plot of sorts, rather than be 100% fanservice (though some found the plot quite a distraction from what they really wanted).

But I can’t find myself to enjoy Chizuru with how pale and .. floppy .. she is. And oh god that face of hers.

Anyway, the first of two bonus videos for this third DVD is Christmas-themed. Kouta wakes up to find two large presents by his bed. It’s far too obvious to the viewer what .. or who.. is in each box. The big one bursts open and reveals Chizuru, who proceeds to strip and rub herself all over Kouta in embarrassing ways. I say her actions here were much more risque than that in the first DVD special. Sadly here, Nozomu remains asleep in the box, and we don’t get to see her in action.

The second video is a two-minute magazine-style shoot of Akane, the class representative. She goes from tsuntsun to deredere throughout the video … and from clothed to unclothed. It feels quite out of character with her to see the later shots. And surprisingly in those later ones, I could barely tell her apart from Chizuru. Same pale skin; same horrid face. The main difference is bust size, sure, but I don’t really look too closely at that anyway after a certain limit.

I’ll keep downloading these though out of morbid curiosity. I got my bewildered Kouta in this one, though, so there are some happy points. Missed out on Nozomu. And I’ll look forward to the Mio one if this trend continues of having an expose on every female character.
