Goodness how I’m behind on Strike Witches and Tsukaima III. I can’t even get comfortable enough this month even to watch the episodes, much less blog them. :( But they will be tended to soon; busy summer job is busy. Anyway–here’s some quick entertainment from the latest Eizou Tokuten specials from the Kanokon DVDs. This time Nozomu is primarily featured.
Again, each DVD has two specials. In volume 2, the first one is a quick two-minute idol video of Nozomu. She’s in various beach poses .. and including some nude ones. And then you also see her special “bandage swimsuit.” Great for DFC fans.
Second one is a little less than two minutes and is, let’s say, a special “secret” videotaping of Nozomu in the classroom, directed by Chizuru. Things get very interesting until an interruption occurs.
I found the second one particularly funny. First of all because of how shameless it was. Yeah I know the whole series is shameless already, and while this special didn’t take it to any new levels, it was still just amusing to view Chizuru’s actions through the camera and listen to her reactions. And sure, the fanservice mixed in helped, too.
I still don’t know if the DVD episodes of the main series is uncensored or not, but it seems likely so since it’s not exactly hard to ‘edit in’ or ‘edit out’ the particular naughty bits. Overall, though, XEBEC’s artwork is somewhat .. average to me. Maybe it’s the facial detail that doesn’t get me going as much as CG artwork from other eroge or ecchi series. The expressions and camera angles are sometimes awkward, and even the colors, too, kind of don’t present our lovely nymphs all that well.
It feels cheap … but maybe I’m expecting too much to think a series like this would be, well, tasteful or artistic.

Oh, and this volume totally lacked a bewildered Kouta; he’s perhaps the funniest of the three.
