Anyone, those you know me know I’m an ally of the spring Ohio convention, Anime Punch. They have opened up their mailing list, which is being used to circulate their own news, obviously. And if it was just that, I wouldn’t be saying anything, as I’m not THAT into shameless advertising.

But it’s also being to circulate news of anime-related events, right now mostly in Columbus, Ohio. However, they have said they’d be willing to include news of other events if asked to, and they thought it was worth circulating, so I’m hopeful it might grow.

I find this pretty exciting, as a lot of times, it’s not easy to find out about local events. And as far as I know, no other con has done something like this. I kinda hope this gets the ball rolling or inspires someone into something bigger, like maybe a fully maintained newsletter for the Ohio area or something. Maybe it won’t. Who knows. But it’d be nice. And the best was to encourage something is support it.
