Moetaku has subbed and released two bonus video shorts from Kanokon DVD volume 1 titled “Eizou Tokuten” (which very roughly means “special images”). Each are two minutes long, but they cross the line even further than the TV series. Add back in those nipply bits that were conveniently missing from the TV episodes for one — their presence in these shorts does change the feel of the series in a very guilty way (but whether or not you enjoy that is up to you).

The first one answers the question on if Chizuru starred in her own swimsuit idol DVD. It’s basically two minutes of long camera pans of her in various swimwear … and the occasional surprise flash. “Hey, those weren’t there before,” you might say. There are a few of her in kitsune form, too. Basically tons of eye candy for Chizuru fans. And she just poses so innocently, too; it’s criminal.

Next is a short little scene that contains Nozomu. The above, personally-censored cap probably says everything you’ll need to know about what happens. Chizuru and Nozomu strip down and agree to wake up a sleeping, unknowing Kouta in the most jealousy-causing way. I just love his frozen expression, despite how much he secretly likes it.

I haven’t looked at DVD versions of the actual series yet, but based on these specials I do wonder if the DVD eps will be totally uncensored. That would make the various spa and bath scenes a whole lot different, even though they were quite daring already with the minimal steam and interesting camera angles. XEBEC have really outdone themselves.
