Well, four episodes were released recently. Unfortunately, most of them were over exams, and passing is a priority. And then came Summer School. So I’m doing catch-up on episode 7-10

Luckily, xxxholic kei is mostly episodic, so I don’t need to do tooo much. But things to affect the overall plot did happen.

Episode 7 brought up a story that revolved drawing water. Of importance, Himawari tells Watanuki not to exert himself and makes a pinky promise with him that does something weird to his pinky.

Episode 8 is pure filler. A nice little story.

Episode 9 picks back up with Kohane. It seems that she’s been getting bad rep across the interwebs, being called a fraud and wishing her dead. This has traversed over into her real life, as can be seen by the vandalism of her house. Her terrible mother (and man, does she get the bad mommy award in this episode) arranges for Kohane to be on a show that is fixed to expose her as a fraud, so when she tells the truth, the rest say it’s a lie.

Episode 10 continues on with Kohane. Kohane is suffering for being exposed as a fraud, and being mistreated as home. Still. So Watanuki kidnaps her. Heck yeah, I called the child kidnapper thing! I think I did. Anyway, Kohane stays with Watanuki for a day, then goes home, because she senses Mommy is worried. There’s some talk that basically, Kohane is strong, and going to be alright. Watanuki gives her a balloon to make her next dream come true. It’s proved that Kohane didn’t lie, and Kohane retires from investigating ghosts, and being on TV. Watanuki visits her and finds that she wished for her mom to be happy. Aw. They walk away a happy pair.

I have no pictures due to Photobucket issues but I must say, I love the constantly angry look on Kohane’s mom’s face. I don’t think she can do anything with out those eyes bugging out, and…

xxxholic is progressing nicely. I have little to say, as the most recent stuff I watched is Kohane, and I’m not a big Kohane fan. I can’t say if I felt it wrapped up well or not, I’m just glad Kohane is done with. I am looking forward to the next one, because it’s Himawari’s time to shine!
