I have only watched two episodes from this spring season because school is eating my life. >__>;; Therefore, this post contains mini reviews of Code Geass R2 episode one and Bus Gamer episode 1. ‘Nuff said.
Code Geass R2
As the rest of the blogosphere has already reported, Lelouch loses his memories at the end of last season, but gets them back in this episode. In a scene very similar to the first episode of season one (only more awesomer) Lelouch gets the Geass back when he meets back up with C.C. and proceeds to wipe out a bunch of Brittanian soldiers.
As for Suzaku, he only shows up briefly in an ominous scene at the end of the episode. (Man, his new outfit is awesome. So is C.C.’s ^_^) Also, Nunally hasn’t been seen yet, except in the OP and ED, and this new guy named Roro/Lolo is allegedly Lulu’s new little brother. While he’s really kinda adorable and all, I have the nagging suspicion that he’s going to turn out to be a bad guy.
Oh, and while I don’t like Orange Range’s OP and ED music, I love the still art in the ED sequence. ;_; Sooooo preeeeeeettttttyyyyyyy!!!!
Epic season is going to be epic. First ep gets 8.5/10, but it would be a 9 if it weren’t for a few “Why the heck is he talking to himself?!” dumb moments.
Bus Gamer
Based on some manga by the creator of Saiyuki. My favorite part of this gritty action series was not the three hot guys, but rather the interactions between said three hot guys. ^_^; While they seem mildly one-dimensional, they’re still likable to an extent. Plus the hints of backstory in episode one may turn out to be interesting. Tons of potential there.
The premise is three guys who each need 3 billion yen fighting against other three-man teams. Supposedly big corporations gamble their insider information in order to gain other companies’ insider information. While the plot’s execution is a little weak, it could turn out interesting.
Series’ potential rating: 9/10. This episodes’ rating: 7.5/10.
Will also be eventually blogging Library War as well (come blizzards, rednecks with pitchforks and yuritards with ego problems, I will not miss this series T_T)

You’re too young for school to be eating your life. C’mon.
Tell that to my teacher. >_>;; Luckily, though, things will get better after next week.
Hm, I was kinda looking foreward to Bus Gamer but it doesn’t sound like my thing. I’ll still give it a try.
Seeing C.C giving that smile make it all worthwhile XD.
@lanie-emon: Heck yeah! 80% of the smiles in Code Geass are creepy (’cause it’s usually Lulu or some other psycho!) but C.C’s was kinda epic ^_^
JUST AS PLANNED!
That aside, episode 1 was as good as I hope it’d be, not to mention that little easter egg(?) of C.C…
great review 9/10 for the series i must see it next!
Yes the ED for Geass has pretty pictures, I wonder if it’ll be featured in an artbook ^^
@faye: I hope there’s an artbook too. Some high-res screenshots of the images are already floating around on 4chan in /w/; I found some and saved them onto my other computer.
