Perhaps it’s a smidge early for such celebrations of Spring 08′ anime series. But who cares? ^_^

The following are major series that have been confirmed for Spring 08, some of which are starting in March. My comments are included. (I tried to keep my fangirling to a minimum.) Full list of series is here.

Code Geass R2 - starts sometime in April
The second season of the highly fanboyed and R1-licensed mecha series. Yaoi fangirls, stampeding Lancelots and killer bunnies cannot stop me from blogging this one. ‘Nuff said.

Nabari no Ou - starts April 6th
No idea what it’s about, but the website looks neat. However, it’s allegedly directed by the director of Yugioh. I’ll give it a two-episode chance to impress me, and if it fails, I’ll laugh.

Allison to Lilia - starts April 3rd
I believe the character designs are by Kuroboshi Kouhaku, who also did designs for Kino no Tabi, and the original novels are by KnT’s author. That’s enough to get me to watch it.

Soul Eater – starts April 7th
A fantasy series with demons and such. Normally I wouldn’t watch it, but supposedly new episodes will be aired twice in the same day. One airing will be a version of the episode with extra content of some sort. Hmmmm… might watch this, but won’t blog it unless it really makes itself worth the effort.

Macross Frontier – starts sometime in April
I might watch it just ’cause it’s Macross. ^_^; I probably won’t blog it, just because people more familiar with the Macross universe will probably be blogging it. I need to go back and watch the first episode, which actually aired several months ago…

Bus Gamer – starts March 14th
Looks action-packed, and the base manga is by the creator of Saiyuki. It’s reportedly only 3 episodes, though, so I may blog this one over at zeNIME.

xxxHOLic Tsugi – starts sometime in April
Didn’t watch the first season, but it’s CLAMP, so I’ll try the first few episodes. Won’t be blogged unless I really like it/have time.

Monochrome Factor – starts April 7th
Once again, I know nothing, but the website looks kinda cool.

S.A. ~Special A~ – starts sometime in April
Some shojo series that looks fairly interesting/non-cliched. Manga version has been licensed and relseased in the U.S., so I think it’s worth watching the first episode.

Blassreiter – starts sometime in April
GONZO DESU. ^_^; I’m watching/blogging this to find out whether it’s gonna be Gonzo’s bad side (Dragonaut) or good side (Peacemaker and Kaleido Star.) Psgels guesses that it’s bad Gonzo, and I suspect the same. ;_; But I’ll try it.

Other notable series that I have little interest in include Vampire Knight, Da Capo II ~Second Season~, To-LOVE-Ru, Kyou Kara Maou 3, and kure-nai. I probably won’t watch any of these, much less blog them.
