I know Matsuricon’s not over yet (it ends tomorrow), but since I’ve already left, I figured I’d go ahead and report on at least the cosplay. Everything comes tomorrow since I’m not so tired.

Friday:

After an hour or so of driving, me and my mom arrived at the con about an hour after the Dealer’s Rom closed. :( Fortunately, the first thing we saw when we walked in was…

An Eureka cosplayer! (From none other than Eureka Seven, of course.) She was so cool!

Shortly after, I met a girl named Sammy, who has the same birthday as me (!!!!) and loves Fullmetal Alchemist and D.N. Angel. She was actually cosplaying as Satoshi Hiwatari from the latter series, but alas, I didn’t get a picture because I suck.

Then I went to the DDR room, and found a Rukia (Bleach) cosplayer playing Guitar Hero!

I saw her on Saturday with an Ichigo (Bleach) cosplayer who was really cool, but I didn’t get a picture of him, either. :(

So then I dropped by the other game room, and saw THIS GUY: (Agito from Air Gear)

I feel bad for him; how can you play video games if you’re in a straightjacket?!? I wandered out to find Mom again and saw the most awesome Princess Peach (Mario VG) dress ever, and her hair was perfect too:

And then I turned around and immediately saw this:

My mom was on the phone with my uncle when she spotted this… and she told him… so now my whole family will know what sort of awesome people I was hanging out with this weekend. ^________^

Seriously, the awesome costumes didn’t let up, because then I spotted a future Lavi cosplayer in Artist Alley:

The girl on the left had made the jacket, but her outfit wasn’t finished yet, so she just brought the jacket. Then her cousin (I think, on the right) randomly put it on… and I think I scared them both when I ran up and immediately asked “Are you from D.Gray-man?!?! Who are you supposed to be?!” and the cousin replied “No one.” Then the actual cosplayer had to explain, much to my embarassment. It was pretty funny, though, now that I look back on it.

Note, though, that she was the only D.Gray-man cosplay I saw on Friday AND Saturday… >:( The next picture, though pretty much made up for that…

How often do you get Inuyasha, Kikyo, Pikachu, a bunny girl, and a seemingly normal person all posing for you? xD Anyway, they all seemed really interested when I told them I had a blog, which made me feel happy. x3

Saturday:

Saturday started off with a bang when I found some awesome Akatsuki, ANBU and Gaara (Naruto) cosplayers:

There were hordes of various Akatsuki members there, but this was the only time I saw one anywhere near an ANBU or Gaara… O_o;;

Then I got bored, so I headed back to the DDR/Guitar Hero room, and witnessed this AWESOME guy playing DDR. Then I met his friend, Drew:

He was just dressed up as a random anime swordsman, but his sword was still pretty sweet. x3 He was fun! Then I remembered that the Dealer’s Room was open, so I dashed there to find an AWESOME Itachi (Naruto) cosplayer…

… and HE HUGGED ME! (on Friday, actually, but details schmetails) :D I totally wasn’t expecting that, but it was still sweet…. or something. He also told me how to open my first Ramune (those flippin’ things oughta come with INSTRUCTIONS, DANGIT) which I appreciated, ’cause it takes a lot to tolerate my lack of common sense sometimes. I mean, I should’ve known that the random plastic thing on top of the bottle was for SOMETHING! I’m such a dork sometimes. >_<;

Anyway, he had this random Naruto cosplayer with him in the dealer’s room, so I took his picture too:

Then I slacked off and didn’t take any more pictures until after lunch. BAD CJ. And then I spotted a Card Captor Sakura cosplayer outside the DDR room!

She was so sweet… ^o^ I’ve never seen CCS, but just seeing her made me want to.

After walking around some more, I ended up getting in line for the Cosplay Masquerade… but the next cosplay I saw wasn’t at that event. No, I actually spotted it when I was waiting in line for it…

*nosebleed* Yes, that is ANBU Itachi and Kakashi (Naruto) with another ANBU girl next to them. I don’t know what character she was, sorry. >_< Maybe she was an original character? But she was very sweet, either way. ^_^

Anyway, the Kakashi cosplayer ended up asking the MC “Can I walk your plank?” during the Masquerade, so he gets major cookies for that. x3 And then I saw him chasing an adorable little Naruto cosplayer later.

Did you notice that in the picture, Kakashi has Itachi on a chain leash? ^___________^

Then I proceeded to take pics at the Masquerade… and they all ended up bad. >_< I’ll see if I can edit them, though. I think they’re salvageable. :)

More Matsuricon stuff tomorrow! Must sleep……. >_<
