500 hits + IRL updates

+ First of all, Borderline Hikikomori is currently at 496 hits… and since I’ll probably get 30 or so hits overnight, I’ll go ahead and say “THANK YOU!!!!” right now! Thanks everyone, and keep enjoying my baby project!

+ There were no updates on Friday because I was very lazy, but I made up for it with two articles (plus this one) today. Happy now?

Code Geass review – ep. 1-4

If you haven’t heard of Code Geass by now, you’ve either been living under a rock or you’re not an anime nerd. (If it’s the latter, then why are you reading this post?!?) Code Geass is probably the most well-known mecha series produced in recent history (meaning the past 2 or 3 years.) It should be noted, however, that Code Geass is no ordinary mecha anime: it’s fantasy, drama, action and fanservice comedy in ways that twist almost every cliche in the book.

ZOMG FTA Scanlation group taking a break

After a month long delay in their attempted English scanlation of Fullmetal Alchemist chapter 73, ‘ZOMG Fruit Tree Alchemists’ is taking a long break. They announced on their homepage that both members of the project will not be translating anything for a few months, though they will still be uploading RAW (untranslated) chapters.

Sad news for the FMA fans, since ZOMG FTA has better translations than VIZ Media, and their chapter omakes are hysterical. I certainly hope to see them back soon. Perhaps by Christmas; that would make a nice present, ne?
